Former Irish international rugby player, Alan Quinlan, is the face of Ulster Bank's new banking app.

Quinlan's rugby playing career spanned 15 years, with 27 international cap and since retiring, he is now a sports broadcaster for Sky Sports and RTÉ and charity ambassador for Lean on Me.

Ulster Bank's new app is the only Irish banking app available to users of all three leading smart phones, and it allows users to pay bills, check their balance and transfer money. It is available to download from all app stores now.

**What's the best investment you ever made?**

My house without a doubt.

**What's the worst investment you ever made?**

I had a leg of a horse one time….think it’s still running.

**Do you own your own home or other investment property?**

I own my own home.

**What type of car do you have?**

A Volkswagen Passat CC.

**Do you have a pension?**

Yes.

**Which investment options do you currently favour?**

I wouldn’t be qualified to be offering advice to be honest!

**What was the best financial advice you ever received?**

Save a few bob for a rainy day.

**If you were the Minister for Finance for a day and could change one thing, what would it be?**

More investment in programmes for Youth Mental Health.

**Are you a saver or a spender?**

Definitely a saver.

**What's your top financial priority?**

My house and my family.

**How would you describe your attitude to your personal finances?**

Improving now that I’m retired from the game and am developing a new career.

**What's your top money saving tip?**

Don’t keep all your eggs in one basket – and trying to budget.

**What's your biggest indulgence?**

Golf.

**If you had all the money you could wish for, what three things would you buy?**

I’d pay to bring the Rugby World Cup tournament to Ireland, I’d go to the Augusta National and I’d take my son AJ to Disneyland.
