Norah Casey's Harmonia publishing house took home three awards at last night's Irish Magazine Awards.

Despite difficult trading conditions, the event attracted the highest number of entries in the 11 year history of the event.

Harmonia, whose titles include Irish Tatler and Woman's Way, was named publishing company of the year while Irish Tatler Man took a design award and the group also won Cover of the Year.

VIP's Stellar Magazine won the consumer magazine award.

An award for App of the year went to Easy Food while Hotpress.com took an award for its website.

Duan Stokes, chairman of Magazines Ireland, thanked the industry for its support.

"It is a credit to our industry and the ability and creativity of our staff that so many of us have weathered the economic storm and are still in business.

This year's sponsors deserve a special mention for stepping up to the mark and supporting us in what has been a particularly difficult trading year."
