2468 group perks up coffee division with Layton Fern

Storied British brand was founded in Covent Garden

The 2468 group, which is backed by the Pete Smyth-led investment firm Broadlake, has acquired British coffee making firm Layton Fern.

The move strengthens 2468’s existing coffee division as well as adding 1,000 new clients to its business which already has 7,000 customers.

Managing director Donal Garrihy said: “This is a business with a great history.

“We know how to integrate and bolt-on new businesses and this will complement what we already do.”
